The Guvs Guidance – Knit a Square

I am always looking for ways to help people in need and during a recent search online I came across a charity from Africa which is called Knit A Square.

This charity works at keeping aids orphaned children in Africa warm by asking for people to knit a small square which they will turn into blankets.

A very simple request which can help save children’s lives. For people with more craft skills you can make other items such as hats and jumpers but for basic knitters, like myself, you can make a 20cm x 20cm square.

The best thing about it? The charity is always in need for squares so there is no timescales. If like me, you are a slow knitter that is fine! You just have to look at pictures to know you will be making a child happy and warm.

You can check out this charity on their website : www.knit-a-square.com
Or search for them on Facebook.
